Garth Coulter – Guitar, Vocals

Garth picked up his first Ibanez Strat guitar in his mid-teens when the 80’s hair metal scene was in full swing and quickly jumped on board the guitar ‘shred’ scene. A self-taught guitar player, Garth lists among his many influences melodic rock bands such as Journey, Queen, and Def Leppard, as well as guitarists Steve Vai, and Stevie Ray Vaughn. Garth also enjoys building guitars and recording in his spare time.

Steve Brown – Drums, Vocals

Steve got a drum teacher for Christmas when he was 11 years old and that was the start of a life long love of hitting things….with feeling. He plays an older set of Slingerland drums that he bought when he was 20 and he is in the process of refurbishing them because they just sound good. Drums are almost the perfect toy where they can take a lot of abuse and yet challenge you all your life. This band is the fulfilment of a goal to play with some solid musicians who take music seriously while having fun.

Mike Hughes – Guitar, Vocals

Mike Hughes has been playing guitar and singing for as long as he can
remember. Longer than that, actually, as his memory isn’t what it used
to be. And if he’s playing his guitar and not singing, he usually has
a harmonica in his mouth.
Mike has been with ’52 Pick-Up for 25 years + and looks forward to
many more.

Paul Higgins – Bass

Founding member of 52 Pickup, the band formed back in the mid 1980’s. Since then we have played most bars & arenas in the GTA. My greatest satisfaction is the longevity the band has enjoyed & the personnel changes the band has endured. The present lineup is by far the most musical.
